Museum Space of the Roman Villa of Rabaçal

This museum space is one of the three spaces that make the Roman presence in those territories understandable. The archaeological finds on display are part of the permanent exhibition, "Villa Romana of Rabaçal: once upon a time...", and bear testimony of its former owners, their daily actions, their relationship with their fellow human beings and with the environment of the time. 

This visit is completed with a visit to two other sites: 

• The archaeological station (where the visitor can have a more localised perspective on what life would have been like there). 
• The Chanca viewpoint, where you can see this Roman villa from what was, at the time, the main access route, the old Roman road that connected Bracara Augusta (Braga) to Olisipo (Lisbon), and which crossed precisely this place, the Rabaçal Valley.
